IWMPMediaCollection2::getByAttributeAndMediaType method (wmp.h)

The getByAttributeAndMediaType method retrieves a pointer to an IWMPPlaylist interface. This interface represents a playlist that contains media items that have a specified attribute and media type.

Syntax

HRESULT getByAttributeAndMediaType(
  [in]  BSTR         bstrAttribute,
  [in]  BSTR         bstrValue,
  [in]  BSTR         bstrMediaType,
  [out] IWMPPlaylist **ppMediaItems
);

Parameters

[in] bstrAttribute

String that contains the specified attribute.

[in] bstrValue

String that contains the specified value for the attribute that is specified in bstrAttribute.

[in] bstrMediaType

String that contains the specified media type.

[out] ppMediaItems

Address of a variable that receives a pointer to an IWMPPlaylist interface for the retrieved playlist.

Return value

The method returns an HRESULT. Possible values include, but are not limited to, those in the following table.

Remarks

Windows Media Player 10 Mobile: This method is not supported.
