Command Buttons

Users click a command button in order to immediately perform an action, such as opening another surface. A command button is rectangular and includes a label. Command buttons appear in a variety of contexts. A given property sheet, for example, might have command buttons that affect a specific text box, the active tab (page), or all the tabs. The location of the command button determines its relationship to other controls.

Command Button States

A command button typically changes appearance when the user clicks it; at that point, the button appears in a "pressed" state. When the user releases the button, it returns to its normal "up" state.
