IMultiLanguage::GetLcidFromRfc1766 method

Gets the locale identifier value (LCID) that corresponds to the given RFC1766-conforming name.

Syntax


HRESULT GetLcidFromRfc1766(
  [out] LCID *pLocale,
  [in]  BSTR bstrRfc1766
);

Parameters

pLocale [out]

The address of the buffer to receive the LCID.

bstrRfc1766 [in]

The RFC1766-conforming name that the caller wants information about.

Return value

Returns one of the following values.

Return codeDescription
S_OK

Success.

S_FALSE

The returned LCID matches the primary language of the RFC1766-conforming name only.

E_FAIL

The method cannot get the information from the database or the system.

E_INVALIDARG

One or more of the arguments are invalid.

 

Remarks

A client uses this method to translate a human-readable locale name to a Windows-defined LCID.
