ITaskService::TargetServer property

Gets the name of the computer that is running the Task Scheduler service that the user is connected to.

This property is read-only.

Syntax


HRESULT get_TargetServer(
  [out] BSTR *pServer
);

Property value

The name of the computer that is running the Task Scheduler service that the user is connected to.

Error codes

NameMeaning
S_OK

The property value was successfully retrieved.

E_POINTER

The pServer parameter is NULL.

HRESULT_FROM_WIN32(ERROR_ONLY_IF_CONNECTED)

The user is not connected to the Task Scheduler service.

Remarks

This property returns an empty string when the user passes an IP address, Localhost, or '.' into the pServer parameter, and it returns the name of the computer that is running the Task Scheduler service when the user does not pass any parameter value.
