XMVector3Rotate method

Rotates a 3D vector using a quaternion.

Syntax


XMVECTOR XMVector3Rotate(
  [in] XMVECTOR V,
  [in] XMVECTOR RotationQuaternion
);

Parameters

V [in]

3D vector to rotate.

RotationQuaternion [in]

Quaternion that describes the rotation to apply to the vector.

Return value

Returns the rotated 3D vector.

Platform Requirements

Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 or Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 with the Windows SDK for Windows 8. Supported for Win32 desktop apps, Windows Store apps, and Windows Phone 8 apps.
