ContainerEncodingProperties.Type | type property

Gets the format type.

Syntax


var type = containerEncodingProperties.type;

Property value

Type: String [JavaScript] | System.String [.NET] | Platform::String [C++]

The format type. For media containers, the format type is "Container".

Examples

The following example creates an instance of the ContainerEncodingProperties class and gets the properties for the class.


function getContainerProperties() {
    var containerProperties = new Windows.Media.MediaProperties.ContainerEncodingProperties();
    var props = containerProperties.properties;
    // Remove all items from the property set;
    props.clear();

    var containerType = containerProperties.type;
    var containerSubType = containerProperties.subtype;
