MediaCaptureSettings.CameraSoundRequiredForRegion | cameraSoundRequiredForRegion property

Gets a value that indicates if the operating system will make a sound when the capture device takes a picture.

Syntax


var cameraSoundRequiredForRegion = mediaCaptureSettings.cameraSoundRequiredForRegion;

Property value

Type: Boolean [JavaScript] | System.Boolean [.NET] | Platform::Boolean [C++]

true if a sound is played when the capture device takes a picture; otherwise, false.

Remarks

App developers can use this information to determine if they should suppress playing a sound when the device takes a picture since the operating system will already play a sound.
