Represents the store of contacts on the device. Use this class to find and retrieve contacts.

The ContactStore class has these methods. With C#, Visual Basic, and C++, it also inherits methods from the Object class.

MethodDescription
FindContactsAsync Retrieves the list of all contacts in the contact store.
FindContactsAsync(String) Retrieves a list of Contact objects based on the supplied search text.
GetContactAsync Retrieves a Contact object representing the contact with the specified Id value.

 

Remarks

To get a ContactStore object, call the static utility method ContactManager.RequestStoreAsync.

To get a ContactStore object in JavaScript, use code similar to this:


var ns = Windows.ApplicationModel.Contacts;
ns.ContactManager.requestStoreAsync().done(function (contactStore) {
    //code that interacts with contactStore, calls findContactsAsync with another chained promise, etc.
});
