XmlReader::ReadStartElement Method (String^, String^)

 

Checks that the current content node is an element with the given LocalName and NamespaceURI and advances the reader to the next node.

Namespace:   System.Xml
Assembly:  System.Xml (in System.Xml.dll)

	String^ localname,
	String^ ns
)

Parameters

localname
Type: System::String^

The local name of the element.

ns
Type: System::String^

The namespace URI of the element.

Exception Condition
XmlException

Incorrect XML was encountered in the input stream.

The LocalName and NamespaceURI properties of the element found do not match the given arguments.

InvalidOperationException

An XmlReader method was called before a previous asynchronous operation finished. In this case, InvalidOperationException is thrown with the message “An asynchronous operation is already in progress.”

A call to this method corresponds to a call to IsStartElement followed by a call to Read.
