EnumConverter.IsValid Method (ITypeDescriptorContext, Object)

 

Gets a value indicating whether the given object value is valid for this type.

)

Parameters

context
Type: System.ComponentModel.ITypeDescriptorContext

An ITypeDescriptorContext that provides a format context.

value
Type: System.Object

The Object to test.

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean

true if the specified value is valid for this object; otherwise, false.

The context parameter can be used to extract additional information about the environment this converter is being invoked from. This can be null, so always check. Also, properties on the context object can return null.
