XmlReader::MoveToAttribute Method (String^)

 

When overridden in a derived class, moves to the attribute with the specified Name.

Namespace:   System.Xml
Assembly:  System.Xml (in System.Xml.dll)

Parameters

name
Type: System::String^

The qualified name of the attribute.

Return Value

Type: System::Boolean

true if the attribute is found; otherwise, false. If false, the reader's position does not change.

Exception Condition
InvalidOperationException

An XmlReader method was called before a previous asynchronous operation finished. In this case, InvalidOperationException is thrown with the message “An asynchronous operation is already in progress.”

ArgumentException

The parameter is an empty string.

After calling MoveToAttribute, the Name, NamespaceURI, and Prefix properties reflect the properties of that attribute.
