XmlTextReader::Namespaces Property

 

Gets or sets a value indicating whether to do namespace support.

Namespace:   System.Xml
Assembly:  System.Xml (in System.Xml.dll)

public:
property bool Namespaces {
	bool get();
	void set(bool value);
}

Property Value

Type: System::Boolean

true to do namespace support; otherwise, false. The default is true.

Exception Condition
InvalidOperationException

Setting this property after a read operation has occurred (ReadState is not ReadState.Initial).

Starting with the .NET Framework 2.0, we recommend that you create XmlReader instances by using the XmlReader::Create method to take advantage of new functionality.

This property determines whether the reader supports the W3C Namespaces in XML recommendation located at www.w3.org/TR/REC-xml-names.

The Namespaces property cannot be set after a read operation has occurred.
