XmlReader::Prefix Property

 

When overridden in a derived class, gets the namespace prefix associated with the current node.

Namespace:   System.Xml
Assembly:  System.Xml (in System.Xml.dll)

public:
property String^ Prefix {
	virtual String^ get() abstract;
}

Property Value

Type: System::String^

The namespace prefix associated with the current node.

Exception Condition
InvalidOperationException

An XmlReader method was called before a previous asynchronous operation finished. In this case, InvalidOperationException is thrown with the message “An asynchronous operation is already in progress.”

The following example displays the local name of each node, and, if they exist, the prefix and namespace URI.

The example uses the file, book2.xml, as input.
