XmlMapping Class
[ This article is for Windows Phone 8 developers. If you’re developing for Windows 10, see the latest documentation. ]
Supports mappings between .NET Framework types and XML Schema data types.
Assembly: System.Xml.Serialization (in System.Xml.Serialization.dll)
The XmlMapping type exposes the following members.
| Name | Description | |
|---|---|---|
![]() | ElementName | Get the name of the mapped element. |
![]() | Namespace | Gets the namespace of the mapped element. |
![]() | XsdElementName | Gets the name of the XSD element of the mapping. |
| Name | Description | |
|---|---|---|
![]() | Equals(Object) | Determines whether the specified Object is equal to the current Object. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | Finalize | Allows an object to try to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before the Object is reclaimed by garbage collection. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | GetHashCode | Serves as a hash function for a particular type. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | GetType | Gets the Type of the current instance. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | MemberwiseClone | Creates a shallow copy of the current Object. (Inherited from Object.) |
![]() | SetKey | Sets the key used to look up the mapping. |
![]() | ToString | Returns a string that represents the current object. (Inherited from Object.) |
The XmlMapping class is the base class for the XmlTypeMapping class. It supports built-in and custom XML schema data types, plus SOAP encoding (Section 5 of the SOAP 1.1 specification).
XmlMapping exposes no public or protected members. Use the XmlMapping class instead of deriving a class directly from XmlMapping.
