XElement.HasElements Property

Gets a value indicating whether this element has at least one child element.

Namespace:  System.Xml.Linq
Assembly:  System.Xml.Linq (in System.Xml.Linq.dll)

public bool HasElements { get; }

Property Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if this element has at least one child element; otherwise false.

The following example uses this property.


StringBuilder output = new StringBuilder();
XElement xmlTree1 = new XElement("Root",
    new XElement("Child", 1)
);
output.Append(xmlTree1.HasElements + Environment.NewLine);
XElement xmlTree2 = new XElement("Root", "contents");
output.Append(xmlTree2.HasElements + Environment.NewLine);

OutputTextBlock.Text = output.ToString();
