XDeclaration::Version Property

 

Gets or sets the version property for this document.

Namespace:   System.Xml.Linq
Assembly:  System.Xml.Linq (in System.Xml.Linq.dll)

Property Value

Type: System::String^

A String containing the version property for this document.

The value is usually "1.0". This value is not enforced.

The following example uses this property to print the version property of a declaration.

XDeclaration xd = new XDeclaration("1.0", "utf-8", "yes");
Console.WriteLine(xd.Version);
Console.WriteLine(xd.Encoding);
Console.WriteLine(xd.Standalone);

Dim xd As XDeclaration = New XDeclaration("1.0", "utf-8", "yes")
Console.WriteLine(xd.Version)
Console.WriteLine(xd.Encoding)
