Storyboard.CreateInstanceCore Method ()

System_CAPS_noteNote

The .NET API Reference documentation has a new home. Visit the .NET API Browser on docs.microsoft.com to see the new experience.

Creates a new instance of the Storyboard class.

Namespace:   System.Windows.Media.Animation
Assembly:  PresentationFramework (in PresentationFramework.dll)

protected override Freezable CreateInstanceCore()

Return Value

Type: System.Windows.Freezable

A new Storyboard instance.

This method is called internally by CreateInstance when creating new instances of the Storyboard class for the various cloning methods (such as Clone and CloneCurrentValue).

Notes to Implementers:

Every Storyboard subclass must implement this method. Typical implementation is to simply call the class default constructor and return the result.

The following example shows a typical implementation of CreateInstanceCore.

public class MyFreezable : Freezable
{
    // Typical implementation of CreateInstanceCore
    protected override Freezable CreateInstanceCore()
    {

        return new MyFreezable();
    }

    // ...
    // Other code for the MyFreezableClass.
    // ...

}
