KeyboardEventHandler Delegate

Represents the method that will handle keyboard-related routed events.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Input
Assembly:  PresentationCore (in PresentationCore.dll)

public delegate void KeyboardEventHandler(
	Object sender,
	KeyboardEventArgs e
)
In XAML, you can use delegates but you cannot define your own.

Parameters

sender
Type: System.Object

The object where the event handler is attached.

e
Type: System.Windows.Input.KeyboardEventArgs

The event data.

No existing keyboard event in WPF uses the KeyboardEventHandler delegate. KeyboardEventHandler uses the KeyboardEventArgs base class as its event data class. KeyboardEventArgs serves as the base class for the more specific KeyEventArgs and KeyboardFocusChangedEventArgs event data classes. These event data classes are used by the KeyEventHandler and KeyboardFocusChangedEventHandler delegates, and those delegates are used by existing WPF events such as UIElement.KeyDown and UIElement.LostKeyboardFocus.

Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP SP2, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003

The .NET Framework and .NET Compact Framework do not support all versions of every platform. For a list of the supported versions, see .NET Framework System Requirements.
