This event is raised when the value of one of the following column properties changes for a DataGridViewColumn in a DataGridView control

For more information about handling events, see Consuming Events.

The following code example demonstrates the use of this type. In the example, an event handler reports on the occurrence of the ColumnStateChanged event. This report helps you to learn when the event occurs and can assist you in debugging. To report on multiple events or on events that occur frequently, consider replacing Show with Console.WriteLine or appending the message to a multiline TextBox.

To run the example code, paste it into a project that contains an instance of type DataGridView named DataGridView1. Then ensure that the event handler is associated with the ColumnStateChanged event.

Private Sub DataGridView1_ColumnStateChanged(sender as Object, e as DataGridViewColumnStateChangedEventArgs) _
     Handles DataGridView1.ColumnStateChanged

    Dim messageBoxVB as New System.Text.StringBuilder()
    messageBoxVB.AppendFormat("{0} = {1}", "Column", e.Column)
    messageBoxVB.AppendLine()
    messageBoxVB.AppendFormat("{0} = {1}", "StateChanged", e.StateChanged)
    messageBoxVB.AppendLine()
    MessageBox.Show(messageBoxVB.ToString(),"ColumnStateChanged Event")

End Sub
