DataGridView::OnRowStateChanged Method (Int32, DataGridViewRowStateChangedEventArgs^)

Raises the RowStateChanged event.

Namespace:   System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)

protected:
virtual void OnRowStateChanged(
	int rowIndex,
	DataGridViewRowStateChangedEventArgs^ e
)

Parameters

rowIndex
Type: System::Int32

The index of the row that is changing state.

e
Type: System.Windows.Forms::DataGridViewRowStateChangedEventArgs^

A DataGridViewRowStateChangedEventArgs that contains the event data.

Exception Condition
InvalidCastException

The row changed from read-only to read/write, enabling the current cell to enter edit mode, but the EditType property of the current cell does not indicate a class that derives from Control and implements IDataGridViewEditingControl.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see NIB: Raising an Event.

The OnRowStateChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors:

When overriding OnRowStateChanged in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnRowStateChanged method so that registered delegates receive the event.
