DataGridView::OnCellEndEdit Method (DataGridViewCellEventArgs^)

Raises the CellEndEdit event.

Namespace:   System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)

protected:
virtual void OnCellEndEdit(
	DataGridViewCellEventArgs^ e
)

Parameters

e
Type: System.Windows.Forms::DataGridViewCellEventArgs^

A DataGridViewCellEventArgs that contains the event data.

Exception Condition
ArgumentOutOfRangeException

The value of the ColumnIndex property of e is greater than the number of columns in the control minus one.

-or-

The value of the RowIndex property of e is greater than the number of rows in the control minus one.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see NIB: Raising an Event.

The OnCellEndEdit method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors:

When overriding OnCellEndEdit in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnCellEndEdit method so that registered delegates receive the event.
