GridView::OnRowDeleted Method (GridViewDeletedEventArgs^)

Raises the RowDeleted event.

Namespace:   System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)

protected:
virtual void OnRowDeleted(
	GridViewDeletedEventArgs^ e
)

The RowDeleted event is raised when a row's Delete button is clicked, but after the GridView control deletes the row. This enables you to provide an event-handling method that performs a custom routine, such as checking the results of the delete operation, whenever this event occurs.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see NIB: Raising an Event.

The OnRowDeleted method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors:

When overriding OnRowDeleted in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnRowDeleted method so that registered delegates receive the event.
