OperationContractAttribute::Name Property

 

Gets or sets the name of the operation.

Namespace:   System.ServiceModel
Assembly:  System.ServiceModel (in System.ServiceModel.dll)

}

Property Value

Type: System::String^

The name of the operation.

Exception Condition
ArgumentNullException

Name is null.

ArgumentOutOfRangeException

The value is an empty string.

Use the Name property to override the <operation> element name in WSDL. The default operation name is the name of the implementing method.

The following code example uses the Name property to declare the name of the operation as exposed in metadata.
