ClientRuntime::Via Property

Gets or sets the transport address that is used to send messages through the client.

Namespace:   System.ServiceModel.Dispatcher
Assembly:  System.ServiceModel (in System.ServiceModel.dll)

public:
property Uri^ Via {
	Uri^ get();
	void set(Uri^ value);
}

Property Value

Type: System::Uri^

A Uri that is the destination address for the transport. The default value is the Uri value of the client.

Set the Via property to specify a transport address for messages when the immediate destination of messages is not the client's Uri. This enables you to specify SOAP intermediaries and handle scenarios in which the value of the Uri property of the client is a logical name.

It is this value that the System.ServiceModel.Description::ClientViaBehavior sets from a configuration file.
