OperationDescription::ProtectionLevel Property

 

Gets or sets the protection level for the operation.

Type: System.Net.Security::ProtectionLevel

The ProtectionLevel for the operation.

The ProtectionLevel property controls whether the messages of an operation must be encrypted, signed, or both. The value set here is the default value for all messages specified for this operation unless a narrower scope overrides this value.

ProtectionLevel corresponds to the ProtectionLevel property in the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) programming model.

When the ProtectionLevel is set, the HasProtectionLevel property is set to true.
