PermissionSet::AddPermissionImpl Method (IPermission^)

.NET Framework (current version)

Adds a specified permission to the PermissionSet.

Namespace:   System.Security
Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

protected:
virtual IPermission^ AddPermissionImpl(
	IPermission^ perm
)

Parameters

perm
Type: System.Security::IPermission^

The permission to add.

Return Value

Type: System.Security::IPermission^

The union of the permission added and any permission of the same type that already exists in the PermissionSet, or null if perm is null.

Exception Condition
InvalidOperationException

The method is called from a ReadOnlyPermissionSet.

The AddPermissionImpl method is the implementation for the AddPermission method.

If a permission of the same type as the added permission already exists in the PermissionSet, the new permission is the union of the existing permission object and the specified permission object. For example, if a permission that implements IUnrestrictedPermission is added to an UnrestrictedPermissionSet, the resulting union is the original UnrestrictedPermissionSet.
