X509Certificate::GetFormat Method ()

 

Returns the name of the format of this X.509v3 certificate.

Return Value

Type: System::String^

The format of this X.509 certificate.

The format X.509 is always returned in this implementation.

The following example uses the GetFormat method to get the format of a certificate and displays it to the console.

using namespace System::Security::Cryptography::X509Certificates;

{

   // The path to the certificate.
   String^ Certificate = "Certificate.cer";

   // Load the certificate into an X509Certificate object.
   X509Certificate^ cert = X509Certificate::CreateFromCertFile( Certificate );
