Marshal.AllocCoTaskMem Method

For apps that target Windows Phone OS 7.0 and 7.1, do not use any members of this type in your app. If you do, your code will throw a MethodAccessException. This type is security-critical, which restricts it to internal use by the .NET Framework for Windows Phone class library.

Allocates a block of memory of specified size from the COM task memory allocator.

Parameters

cb
Type: System.Int32
The size of the block of memory to be allocated.

Return Value

Type: System.IntPtr
An integer representing the address of the block of memory allocated. This memory must be released with Marshal.FreeCoTaskMem.
