_Assembly::IsDefined Method (Type^, Boolean)

 

Provides COM objects with version-independent access to the IsDefined method.

Namespace:   System.Runtime.InteropServices
Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

bool IsDefined(
	Type^ attributeType,
	bool inherit
)

Parameters

attributeType
Type: System::Type^

The Type of the custom attribute to be checked for this assembly.

inherit
Type: System::Boolean

This argument is ignored for objects of this type.

Return Value

Type: System::Boolean

true if a custom attribute identified by the specified Type is defined; otherwise, false.

This method is for access to managed classes from unmanaged code, and should not be called from managed code.

The IsDefined method indicates whether a custom attribute identified by the specified Type is defined.
