Assembly::ImageRuntimeVersion Property

Gets a string representing the version of the common language runtime (CLR) saved in the file containing the manifest.

Namespace:   System.Reflection
Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

public:
[ComVisibleAttribute(false)]
property String^ ImageRuntimeVersion {
	virtual String^ get();
}

Property Value

Type: System::String^

The CLR version folder name. This is not a full path.

For example, the value for the .NET Framework version 1.1 would be v1.1.4322. The binary files for that version would be located in the path %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322.

By default, ImageRuntimeVersion is set to the version of the CLR used to build the assembly. However, it might have been set to another value at compile time.
