PrintTicket.PhotoPrintingIntent Property

The .NET API Reference documentation has a new home. Visit the .NET API Browser on to see the new experience.

Gets or sets a value indicating in qualitative terms the level of quality the printer uses to print a photograph.

Namespace:   System.Printing
Assembly:  ReachFramework (in ReachFramework.dll)

public Nullable<PhotoPrintingIntent> PhotoPrintingIntent { get; set; }

Property Value

Type: System.Nullable<PhotoPrintingIntent>

A PhotoPrintingIntent value indicating the level of photo quality.

Exception Condition

Calling code has attempted to set the property to a value that is not in the PhotoPrintingIntent enumeration.

The photographic printer driver translates the qualitative expression in this property into specific quantitative values for resolution and other factors.

A null value for this property means that this feature setting is not specified. Also, when the value is null, the XML versions of the PrintTicket (see SaveTo and GetXmlStream) will not contain any markup for this feature.

This property corresponds to the Print Schema's PagePhotoPrintingIntent keyword.

You can test for the options that the printer supports by using the PhotoPrintingIntentCapability property.
