OracleDataReader::GetValue Method (Int32)

 

Gets the value of the column at the specified ordinal in its native format.

Namespace:   System.Data.OracleClient
Assembly:  System.Data.OracleClient (in System.Data.OracleClient.dll)

Parameters

i
Type: System::Int32

The zero-based column ordinal.

Return Value

Type: System::Object^

The value to return.

Exception Condition
OracleException

The value is too large to be stored in the .NET Decimal.

This method returns DBNull for null database columns. The value returned by this method might be the result of the conversion from Oracle's Number data type to .NET Decimal type. If the value is too large to be stored in the .NET Decimal, this method throws an OracleException that is an overflow exception.
