Gets the value of the specified column as a string.

ordinal
Type: System::Int32

The zero-based column ordinal.

Return Value

Type: System::String^

The value of the specified column.

IDataRecord::GetString(Int32)

Exception Condition
InvalidCastException

The specified cast is not valid.

No conversions are performed; therefore the data retrieved must already be a string.

Call IsDBNull to look for null values before calling this method.
