Gets the value of the specified column as a byte.

The zero-based column ordinal.

Return Value

Type: System::Byte

The value of the specified column as a byte.

Exception Condition
InvalidCastException

The specified cast is not valid.

Conversions are performed based on the underlying capabilities of the ODBC driver. If the conversion is not supported, the method call fails.

Call IsDBNull to look for null values before calling this method.
