DbCommand::CommandType Property

 

Indicates or specifies how the CommandText property is interpreted.

Namespace:   System.Data.Common
Assembly:  System.Data (in System.Data.dll)

	virtual CommandType get() abstract;
	virtual void set(CommandType value) abstract;
}

Property Value

Type: System.Data::CommandType

One of the CommandType values. The default is Text.

When you set the CommandType to StoredProcedure, you should set the CommandText property to the name of the stored procedure. The command executes this stored procedure when you call one of the Execute methods.
