Validator::TryValidateProperty Method (Object^, ValidationContext^, ICollection<ValidationResult^>^)

 

Validates the property.

Parameters

value
Type: System::Object^

The value to validate.

validationContext
Type: System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations::ValidationContext^

The context that describes the property to validate.

validationResults
Type: System.Collections.Generic::ICollection<ValidationResult^>^

A collection to hold each failed validation.

Return Value

Type: System::Boolean

true if the property validates; otherwise, false.

Exception Condition
ArgumentNullException

value cannot be assigned to the property.

value is null.

This method tests each ValidationAttribute instance that is associated with the property that is identified by the validationContext parameter.
