Design surface (HTML)

The design surface (also called the artboard) is your work surface, where you can visually design a document in your HTML application by inserting objects and then modifying them.

The design surface is framed by a virtual tablet device that accurately represents the display of the device parameters that you specify in the Device panel.

Artboard

Design view   Set artboard options, such as snap grid, in the Options dialog box.

Code editor   Edit your HTML, CSS, and other web-based code in the Code editor.

Design surface controls   Use these controls to zoom the design surface and turn adorner display on and off.

Document tabs   Use when you have more than one document open on the design surface to switch between them by clicking the corresponding tab.

View buttons   Use these buttons to switch between Design, Code, and Split views.
