Select Object dialog box

The Select Object dialog box appears when XAML Designer requires the selection of a (common language runtime) CLR type. The Select Object dialog box can appear in a variety of contexts. For example, it is used in the Collection Editor when you need to choose an item type, and is also used for the DataContext property of each control.

The following illustration shows the Select Object dialog box for a row definition opened in the Collection Editor.
