BackgroundExecutionManager.GetAccessStatus() | getAccessStatus() method

Gets the ability of the calling lock screen app to perform background activity and update its badge.

Syntax


var backgroundAccessStatus = Windows.ApplicationModel.Background.BackgroundExecutionManager.getAccessStatus();

Parameters

This method has no parameters.

Return value

Type: BackgroundAccessStatus

One of the enumeration values that specify the app's capabilities on the lock screen.

Remarks

The settings that allow an app to use background activity and update its badge on the lock screen are found in the Setttings charm or the Personalization item in the Control Panel.
