HttpClient.PutAsync Method (Uri, HttpContent, CancellationToken)

Send a PUT request with a cancellation token as an asynchronous operation.

Assembly:  System.Net.Http (in System.Net.Http.dll)

public Task<HttpResponseMessage> PutAsync(
	Uri requestUri,
	HttpContent content,
	CancellationToken cancellationToken
)

Parameters

requestUri
Type: System.Uri

The Uri the request is sent to.

content
Type: System.Net.Http.HttpContent

The HTTP request content sent to the server.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value

Type: System.Threading.Tasks.Task<HttpResponseMessage>

Returns Task<TResult>.

The task object representing the asynchronous operation.

Exception Condition
ArgumentNullException

The requestUri was null.

This operation will not block. The returned Task<TResult> object will complete after the whole response (including content) is read.
