pointerout | onpointerout event

Dispatched when any of the following occurs:

  • A pointing device is moved out of the hit test boundaries of an element
  • After firing the pointerup event for a device that does not support hover
  • After firing the pointercancel event
Note  As of Internet Explorer 11, the Microsoft vendor prefixed version of this event (MSPointerOut) is no longer supported. It was removed from the "Edge" document mode as of Internet Explorer for Windows 10 Technical Preview. Instead, use the non-prefixed lowercase name, pointerout, which is better for standards compliance and future compatibility.
