XamlTypeTypeConverter::ConvertTo Method (ITypeDescriptorContext^, CultureInfo^, Object^, Type^)

Attempts to convert a XamlType to the specified type, using the specified context.

Parameters

context
Type: System.ComponentModel::ITypeDescriptorContext^

A format context that provides information about the environment from which this converter is being invoked.

culture
Type: System.Globalization::CultureInfo^

Culture specific information.

value
Type: System::Object^

The object to convert.

destinationType
Type: System::Type^

The type to convert the object to.

Return Value

Type: System::Object^

The converted object.

Exception Condition
NotSupportedException

value cannot be converted.

The XamlTypeTypeConverter class only converts an instance of XamlType to and from a String (or XamlType). Other value types or destinationType inputs throw an exception.
