DataSourceConverter::ConvertFrom Method (ITypeDescriptorContext^, CultureInfo^, Object^)

 

Converts the specified object to the native type of the converter.

Parameters

context
Type: System.ComponentModel::ITypeDescriptorContext^

An ITypeDescriptorContext that can be used to gain additional context information.

culture
Type: System.Globalization::CultureInfo^

The CultureInfo that can be used to support localization features.

value
Type: System::Object^

The Object to convert.

Return Value

Type: System::Object^

An Object that represents the specified object after conversion.

Exception Condition
NotSupportedException

The conversion could not be performed.

The context parameter can be used to extract additional information about the environment the converter is being invoked from. It might be null, so you should always check. Also, properties of the context object may also return null.
