TaskCompletionSource<TResult>::TrySetException Method (Exception^)

 

Attempts to transition the underlying Task<TResult> into the Faulted state and binds it to a specified exception.

Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

	Exception^ exception

Parameters

exception
Type: System::Exception^

The exception to bind to this Task<TResult>.

Return Value

Type: System::Boolean

True if the operation was successful; otherwise, false.

Exception Condition
ObjectDisposedException

The Task was disposed.

ArgumentNullException

The exception argument is null.

This operation will return false if the Task<TResult> is already in one of the three final states: RanToCompletion, Faulted, or Canceled.
