TaskCompletionSource<TResult>::SetException Method (Exception^)

 

Transitions the underlying Task<TResult> into the Faulted state and binds it to a specified exception.

Namespace:   System.Threading.Tasks
Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

void SetException(
	Exception^ exception
)

Parameters

exception
Type: System::Exception^

The exception to bind to this Task<TResult>.

Exception Condition
ObjectDisposedException

The Task was disposed.

ArgumentNullException

The exception argument is null.

InvalidOperationException

The underlying Task<TResult> is already in one of the three final states: RanToCompletion, Faulted, or Canceled.
