SortedSet(Of T).ICollection(Of T).IsReadOnly Property

[ This article is for Windows Phone 8 developers. If you’re developing for Windows 10, see the latest documentation. ]

Gets a value that indicates whether a ICollection is read-only.

Namespace:  System.Collections.Generic
Assembly:  System (in System.dll)

'Declaration
Private ReadOnly Property IsReadOnly As Boolean
	Implements ICollection(Of T).IsReadOnly

Property Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if the collection is read-only; otherwise, false.

Implements

ICollection(Of T).IsReadOnly

This member is an explicit interface member implementation. It can be used only when the SortedSet(Of T) instance is cast to an ICollection(Of T) interface.

A collection that is read-only does not allow the addition, removal, or modification of elements after the collection is created.

A collection that is read-only is simply a collection with a wrapper that prevents modifying the collection; therefore, if changes are made to the underlying collection, the read-only collection reflects those changes.

Getting the value of this property is an O(1) operation.
