Validator::ValidateObject Method (Object^, ValidationContext^, Boolean)

 

Determines whether the specified object is valid using the validation context, and a value that specifies whether to validate all properties.

Assembly:  System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations (in System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations.dll)

Parameters

instance
Type: System::Object^

The object to validate.

validationContext
Type: System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations::ValidationContext^

The context that describes the object to validate.

validateAllProperties
Type: System::Boolean

true to validate all properties; otherwise, false.

Exception Condition
ValidationException

instance is not valid.

ArgumentNullException

instance is null.

This method evaluates each ValidationAttribute instance that is attached to the object type.
