Cast the value of this XElement to a Nullable(Of T) of Decimal.

Parameters

element
Type: System.Xml.Linq.XElement
The XElement to cast to Nullable(Of T) of Decimal.

Return Value

Type: System.Nullable(Of Decimal)
A Nullable(Of T) of Decimal that contains the content of this XElement.

ExceptionCondition
FormatException

The element does not contain a valid Decimal value.

The following example creates an element with decimal content. It then retrieves the value by casting to Nullable(Of T) of Decimal.

Dim root As XElement = _ 
    <Root>
        <Value>79228162514264337593543950335</Value>
    </Root>
Dim value As Nullable(Of Decimal) = CType(root.Element("Value"), Nullable(Of Decimal))
