Namespace:   System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)

public override object ConvertFrom(
	ITypeDescriptorContext context,
	CultureInfo culture,
	object value
)

Parameters

context
Type: System.ComponentModel.ITypeDescriptorContext

An ITypeDescriptorContext that provides a format context, which can be used to extract additional information about the environment this converter is being invoked from. This parameter or properties of this parameter can be null.

culture
Type: System.Globalization.CultureInfo

A CultureInfo object to provide locale information.

value
Type: System.Object

The object to convert.

Return Value

Type: System.Object

An object that represents the converted value.

Exception Condition
FormatException

An invalid key combination was supplied.

-or-

An invalid key name was supplied.

The ConvertFrom method is specialized to convert objects of type String or Enum array. In this case, it will return an object of type Keys. Otherwise, it defers evaluation to the base implementation of this method.

Notes to Inheritors:

The context parameter can be used to extract additional information about the environment this converter is being invoked from. This may be null, so you should always check. Also, properties on the context object may also return null.
