DSACryptoServiceProvider::VerifyData Method (array<Byte>^, array<Byte>^)

 

Verifies the specified signature data by comparing it to the signature computed for the specified data.

Namespace:   System.Security.Cryptography
Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

bool VerifyData(
	array<unsigned char>^ rgbData,
	array<unsigned char>^ rgbSignature
)

Parameters

rgbData
Type: array<System::Byte>^

The data that was signed.

rgbSignature
Type: array<System::Byte>^

The signature data to be verified.

Return Value

Type: System::Boolean

true if the signature verifies as valid; otherwise, false.

This method verifies the DSA digital signature produced by SignData.

DSA uses the SHA1 hash algorithm.
